Hearing and Sight Screenings, Diabetes and Glaucoma educational sessions offered inside the Exhibit Building at the Fair

There'll be more than the usual fare of entertainment, carnival rides, music and thrill shows. This year, the Lexington Lions Club will also be focusing on the health and well being of fairgoers at the Lions Club's Screening and Educational Area located in the Exhibit Building.

Sight and Hearing Screenings will be available. The Fair opens at 5pm on weekdays and at 3pm on weekends.

Diabetes and Glaucoma Educational Sessions will be provided and questions answered.

Representatives from the University of Kentucky's Department of Ophthalmology, the American Diabetes Association, and the Kentucky Association of Diabetes Educators will be on hand to supervise screenings and talk with fairgoers about the importance of the screenings and education. Professionally trained Lions Club members will support these efforts and assist with screenings and educational presentations.

Eyeglass and Hearing Aid Collection Containers will also be available at the Fair. Fairgoers may bring old eyeglasses to the Fair to support the Lions Club's eyeglass recycling program. Containers will be located at each entrance gate as well as at the Lions Club's Screening & Educational Area inside the Exhibit Building.
